  • General Information:
    Please visit this area to answer general questions about the Corporate Challenge.
  • Opening Ceremony:
    Here we go: it's time to get the challenge started. This tailgating party will kick-off plenty of friendly competition. With food & drink, skydivers, the presentation of colors & the national anthem, the Lighting of the Torch & Events for your Special Olympic Athletes there will be plenty to do. Add in The Alliance Data Great Walk and a few other activities, and you have some of the ingredients for earning your companies Spirit Stick and a chance to win the coveted TAILGATE AWARD.
  • Great Walk presented by Alliance Data:
    This event is one piece of earning a Spirit Stick at the Opening. Walk at your own pace; bring out the family this event is all about participation.
  • T-shirt Competition:
    Show your company pride where it counts - on your shirt! Judging will take place throughout the games - so wear it often!
  • Participation Points:
    Participation points will be scored as a separate event and count toward the overall standings. Participation points will be earned in each event.  All events will be added together and then companies will be ranked by division. This is a great way to show company pride.
  • Raffle:
    Companies can use the Corporate Challenge raffle to raise their monetary goals benefiting Special Olympic Texas.
  • Spirit Award:
    Spirit??? Lets hear it throughout the games! The Spirit award is an esteemed award given to the top teams in each division. Judged by the event coordinators who get to see it first hand, these prestigious awards recognize teams for their hard work promoting and encouraging their company participants as well as showing great sportsmanship toward their opponents. This award is given out at the closing ceremony.
  • Closing Ceremony: 
    Re-live those moments in athletic history with us. This social gathering at the Richardson Civic Center is a time to pass out company awards, share some refreshments & fellowship, and say thank you to all who made it happen as we close the book on this year's Corporate Challenge.
  • Bike Race:
    A nine mile ride where working as a team is the goal. The top two male and female riders combined their times for ranking among companies. Registration is unlimited.
  • 5K Run:
    A 3.1 mile event where the top three male and female times (two in division C & D) combined times to determine the fastest overall companies. Enter as many contestants as you want!
  • Badminton:
    Quick feet and solid hand-eye coordination are keys to this multi-day event. Men’s, Women’s and Mixed doubles will be played.
  • Basketball:
    Finesse, teamwork and team play is what it takes to claim the gold in this double elimination tournament.
  • Billiards:
    "Eight Ball" is the name of the game and top shooters representing every company will compete.
  • Bowling:
    The lanes will be waxed and ready, will your team of ten?
  • Cake Contest:  Calling all bakers and creative minds!!  Here's a chance to let your creativity flow!  Show the Challenge what the competition means to your company...through a cake of course!!  There's an event for everyone!
  • Darts:
    Once again hand-eye coordination will indicate which Men’s, Women’s and Mixed doubles teams can be combined for enough points to be declared champion.
  • Dodgeball:
    This event takes you back to your elementary school days - sure to be action packed and plenty of fun.
  • Dominos (42):
    Nothing quiet about this game. A two evening, double elimination tournament where two teams of two get to show off their skills.
  • Flag Football:
    Flag football, that’s right NO tackling! Bring your team out and see if you have what it takes to compete in the 8-person, “air-it-out” style, double elimination event.
  • Golf:
    While we don't have the green jacket, the gold medal will go to the lowest combined scores of your two, four-person teams. (One team for C & D divisions.)
  • Horseshoes:
    Men’s, Women’s and Mixed pairs show their skill and enjoy a serious evening outing.
  • Kickball:
    This event is a great childhood game - sure to bring back a few memories and plenty of fun.
  • Miniature Golf:
    A high-pressure pairs event with great camaraderie and team spirit.
  • Poker (No Limit Texas Hold'em):
    While not the world series of poker, this exciting event is sure to entertain.
  • Punt Pass & Kick:
    Exciting action with each toss of the ball.
  • Soccer:
    Pool play determines the placement of teams in the highly competitive double elimination tournament. No kids play here!
  • Softball:
    This hugely popular event consists of teams battling it out for bragging rights. Who will win the battle?
  • Swimming:
    Men and women compete in separate 50 meter; free, back and relays. This event is also a great spectator sport!
  • Table Tennis:
    The balls are flying at this event. Men, women and mixed teams work up a sweat in this double elimination tournament.
  • Tennis:
    Another multi-day double elimination tournament, pairs competition.
  • Volleyball:
    Teamwork and cooperation is what makes this best of 2 out of 3 games, double elimination indoor tournament so much fun. Six player teams spike and dig their way to the top.
