  • Texas Clean Air Working Group—This is a collaborative forum of businesses, environmental organizations, local, state, and federal government officials, legislative aides, and other interested parties that meet to discuss clean air initiatives and to lend support to state legislative efforts to improve air quality.
     
  • The Blue Skyways Collaborative---This is a group made up of businesses, chambers of commerce, government officials, and others that meet periodically to foster clean air policies and procedures covering the I-35 corridor from Texas to Minnesota.
     
  • U.S. Conference of Mayors Climate Protection Agreement:  The City is a signatory to the U S Climate Protection Agreement and is actively working to meet all 12 goals of the Agreement. Recently the City was given an honorable mention for the City’s Transportation Demand Management Program.
     
  • North Texas Clean Air Cities Coalition--Richardson joined hands with other municipalities, counties, and school district to review and address the air quality issues relative to the proposed construction of coal fired electrical generating plants and their impact on the region's non-attainment status and ozone formation.
     
  • ICLEI Local Governments for Sustainability-ICLEI is an international organization involved in councling local governments in environmental issues, which was founded in 1990.
     
  • DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit)- DART was created August 13, 1983 with the intent of making transportation issues a forefront in regional development.  DART is concerned with transit oriented development and how its implementation can improve the environment.
