This collection of bookmarks has been created and is maintained by the librarians at the Richardson Public Library. Our intent, in listing these bookmarks, is to list a few Internet resources that are interesting, contain useful information, or that supplement the materials within our physical library.

Commercial enterprises such as Yahoo or large libraries with staff assigned full time to creating a subject catalog of the Internet will provide you with much more comprehensive lists of Internet resources. We have links to a number of these catalogs in our Subject lists category. We also have links to many of the Search tools that search and index documents on the Internet. The amount and variety of information that can be retrieved with these search tools can be overwhelming and so an understanding of how to construct a search with each of these tools is very useful. We have included a few tips about how to construct a search on some of the major search engines. These tips are on the Search tools page.

The library has Internet Explorer installed on our Internet computers and these are linked to a networked laser printer on each floor. Printing is 15 cents per page for black and white prints and 50 cents per page for color prints.
