Join the Library's book discussion group, BOOKbabble. Each month, members read and discuss the best in literary fiction, memoir and biography. Join the Library's knitting group! The Library welcomes knitters of all ages and abilities to come to the Library’s knitting group — Dewey KNIT. No registration is required. Richardson Historical & Genealogical Society

The Richardson Historical & Genealogical Society mission is to help promote an appreciation of history and encourage people who want to begin genealogy research.

The Society meets September thru May the third Thursday of the month at the Richardson Public Library. Meetings alternate afternoons and evenings and are held in the Program Room in the Basement. The afternoon meetings present historical programs while the evening meetings are on a genealogical topic.  Click here to see a list of meeting dates, speakers and topics.

Annual membership dues for the Richardson Historical & Genealogical Society are $10 for individuals, $15 for families, and $50 for businesses. Meetings are open to both members and nonmembers.

First Wednesday Book Club
Except for the July and December meetings, all other meetings will be held on the First Wednesday evening of the month. Coffee is available at 7:00 p.m. and presentations and discussions begin at 7:30 p.m. Regular meetings are held in the 2nd floor Conference Room.
