Breckinridge Trail Closure Starting February 3, 2012, the Parks Department will close a portion of the Breckinridge Trail in Breckinridge Park at the pedestrian bridge between park entrances A & B until repairs to erosion can be made. Every effort to expedite the erosion repairs will be made; however, it is unknown at this time when the trail will re-open. Alternate routes are available in the park for trail use and the attached map will also be on the City’s website for reference at www.cor.net/parks. |

The Parks and Recreation Department offers indoor and outdoor leisure and recreation opportunities to Richardson citizens and corporate residents year-round. The department presents award-winning special events, festivals, and activities. On-going programs are offered year round by the Department. To learn more, choose a page from the menu above.
The Department is responsible for the maintenance of city parks, swimming pools, medians, roadsides, city-owned drainage easements, and street sweeping. The Parks and Recreation Department plants more than 100 acres of wildflowers each year.
