A Few of Our Accomplishments in 2007
- Facilities
- Installed Westside emergency pumping system from the City of Dallas to our 767/825 pressure zones.
- Richland Park force main lined (Insituform).
- Eastside Pump Station – Rehab. 8 Million Gallon Tank.
- Westside Pump Station – upgrade electrical service with TXU – for pump motor controls, replaced 7 valves (18” – 24”).
- Northside Pump Station – valve operator engineered.
- Shiloh Pump Station – automatic gate & enclosure being designed.
- Lookout Transfer Station - automatic gate installed at spoils area entry.
- Operations
- 767/825 Westside Emergency Pumping System
- Replaced valves at Coit Rd. and Arapaho Rd. for the Westside Emergency Pumping System
- Service Calls
- Responded to 2,799 calls for sewer services
- Responded to 4,837 calls for water services
- Responded to 4,119 calls for the meter shop
- Installed 134 cleanouts for residents
- Responded to 295 broken water mains
- Responded to 575 line locate requests
- Performed 7,636 tasks in the water and wastewater field
- Meter Shop
- Maintained records for 9,083 backflow preventers of which, 483 are high hazard each needing an annual report.
- Replaced approximately 1,275-meter registers.
- Although experiencing ¼ reduction in field crew personnel, continues to perform Standby Duty.
- Tested and repaired 117 large (3” and up) water meters through outside contract.
- Continue working towards all employees getting Wastewater license.
- Working towards a water meter pilot program to replace existing meters.
