Join us for the 4th Annual Great Ride - A motorcycle ride benefitting Special Olympics of Texas.

Participation Cost - Minimum donation of $20 per rider, and $10 per passenger

Registration begins at 7:30 a.m.
Kickstands up at 9:30 a.m.

Start: Galatyn Plaza Just east of 75 (Central)
Next to the Renaissance Hotel

This years ride will both Start and End at Galatyn Plaza located next to the Renaissance Hotel in Richardson. Registration begins at 7:30am with coffee, donuts and music. Kickstands up at 9:30am. While this is a group ride; it is not escorted. Riders are encouraged to go at your own pace and arrive safely back at Galatyn Plaza for the festivities about 11:30am. The overall ride is about 2 hours long, not quite 100 miles.

  • In & Out Burger will have their Mobile Unit at the Plaza serving up Hamburgers, Chips & Soft Drinks as part of the registration fee.
  • Texas Select Beer (Non Alcoholic) will be on ice!
  • Vendors and Music will be on the plaza.

 

NEW THIS YEAR! CREDIT CARD PAYMENT - You can now register and pay by Credit Card. You will be re-directed to the Special Olympics of Texas website. If you're paying by check or cash, you can mail your payment along with your registration form.

This is the 4th year of The Great Ride; Part of the City of Richardson's Corporate Challenge. This event has grown each year, with over 250 bikes in 2013. Each participating company is asked to raise a minimum of $1,000 for Special Olympics Texas, the events charity of choice for 17 years. To date, the Challenge has give this organization over $1.1 million, which has provided hundreds of Special Olympic Athletes with uniforms, transportation to competitions, quality equipment and hours of practice time. The Great Ride was added as a fundraising aspect that allows anyone to participate in raising money for this great cause; and have fun doing it! If you are part of one of the Corporate Challenge teams, be sure to select your company name for "credit" for raising money. Not part of the Corporate Challenge? No worries, All Riders are welcome!

Minimum Donation: is $20 per driver, $10 per passenger. (But you can always give more!)

Rain Out - If rained out, this event will not be rescheduled.
