|HOW TO APPLY FOR A HEALTH PERMIT|
There are several types of Health Permits.
Each permit type is explained in detail by choosing the type of permit from the side menu.
NEW or CHANGE IN OWNERSHIP a food establishment, in-home childcare, or swimming pool that is either new or experienced a change in ownership cannot apply online.
You can apply for your Health Permit either in person or by mail once you have....
- completed your application for your Certificate of Occupancy; and
- passed all final building inspections, including Health inspection; and
- been told by your Health Inspector to apply for your Health Permit.
FOOD TRUCK permits are an entirely different process, please scroll down to the information on obtaining a permit for a mobile food vendor.
Health permits are operating permits that are in effect as soon as you apply - it is valid for one year from the date you submit your application and must be renewed each year prior to the expiration date. Certificates are mailed to you and should arrive 3 to 4 weeks after approval. Operating with an expired permit is the same as operating without a permit and is subject to citations and/or closure by the Health Department.

Permits that are allowed to be renewed/applied for online will have an ONLINE and a PDF (printable form) button. Renewing/applying online requires a credit or debit card. The payment will show as a payment to HEALTH ONLINE on your credit card statement. Permit fees are nonrefundable - disputing a credit card payment for a health permit may result in NSF fees and/or suspension of your health permit.

Health Permit fees are nonrefundable, and permits are nontransferable. Online transactions appear as "Health Online" on your credit card statement.
Disputing a credit card charge will result in a NSF fee as well as suspension of your health permit.
