Early Literacy Resources Available at the Library
The Early Literacy Station (ELS) is an all-in-one, touchscreen computer, safe and secure, designed specifically for children ages 2-8. This child friendly learning computer features 70+ educational software programs and hundreds of activities spanning seven curricular subject areas.
Your very own storytime is waiting just for you at Richardson Public Library with Peek-A-Book. It's storytime-on-demand! Children ages 3-8 are invited to visit the Peek-A-Book kioisk, sit back, and listen as the pages of a picture book unfold.
Early Literacy Kits help support your role as your child's first literacy teacher. Each kit contains 5 books and a music CD to
encourage the development of pre-literacy skills: Talking, Singing, Reading, Writing, and Playing. (Every Child Ready to Read).
