Offered classes Include:

Microsoft Excel  

This introductory class teaches the basics of spreadsheets including:

  • Identifying parts of the workbook
  • Entering and formatting data
  • Performing calculations using Formulas and Functions
  • Formatting and printing the workbook

Introduction to Microsoft Word 2003 is a prerequisite for this course. 
 

 Internet 101 

This is a small hands-on class in which participants will learn:

  • What the internet is and how to access it
  • Parts of the browser and what they do
  • Search engines - using one to find information on the Internet
  • Tips for being a better searcher
  • Look at some of the different ways people share information using the Internet
     

Introduction to Computers 

This class will include:

  • The different types of computers, and computer parts and how they connect together
  • The basics of the Windows operating system and what it does
  • A review of some of the fun things you can do with computers and where to get additional help  
     

Job Searching on the Internet 

If you have basic Internet skills, but are unsure how to search the Internet to find a job, this is the class for you! Learn to:

  • Find job listings
  • Create and post your resume online
  • Apply for jobs online
     

Microsoft Word 2003 

If you wondered what happened to the typewriter and would like to learn how to use word processing in the computer, sign up for this class.
 

Microsoft PowerPoint 2003 

In this class you will learn the basics of PowerPoint and then create a sample presentation.  Topics covered include:

  • Why Power Point
  • Review Power Point Window
  • How to create a page master
  • Type of pages available
