What is a "pet license"?
I.D. Tags imprinted with the shelter phone number and a unique ID number specific to your pet. Valuable information that will assist the shelter staff in returning your pet to you, should it be injured or stray.

Why does my pet need a city registration?
The City of Richardson Animal Ordinances Section 5-9 requires that all animals capable of transmitting rabies, including dogs and cats, have a current rabies vaccination and are registered with animal services.
How much does a city registration cost?
Spayed/Neutered Pets: $5.00 per year
Unsterilized Pets: $10.00 per year
FREE for residents 65 and over.
What do I need to get a city registration for my pet?
A current veterinarian rabies vaccination certificate.
