Permits are required for:

Fences and retaining walls higher than 2½ feet Storage buildings Detached buildings (i.e. detached garages, workshops, etc.) Greenhouses Roof repairs, replacement, or recovering  Patio covers and enclosures Carports Interior remodels  Garage enclosures Room additions (enlarging existing house) Swimming pools, spas, and hot tubs

Foundation repair Driveways  Decks over 24 inches in height at any point above the ground Radio tower antennas Exterior siding installation or replacement Miscellaneous work, such as: Furnace and air conditioning replacement Lawn irrigation systems  Water heater replacement Shower pan replacement Vent-a-hood replacement

Any other activity in which the owner or contractor desires to construct, enlarge, erect, alter, repair, move, demolish, convert, install, or replace a building or its utility system.
