Free wi-fi access is available throughout the library. Patrons are responsible for understanding and configuring their own equipment. The city’s network is an 802.11 B/G setup and you must have a B or G wireless card along with an active external e-mail account.
Wireless Card Settings:
Use the software that came with your wireless card or computer to configure the settings and to verify a connection to the library’s wireless network.
SSID (network name) = CORNET
WEP = Disable WEP Encryption
Mode or Network Type = Infrastructure Mode or Access Point
Once a wireless connection has been made please do the following:
- Register by clicking on the register link at the top left of the page, then fill in the information requested.
- Once registered you will have 15 minutes of Internet time to access your e-mail account to obtain a password that has been sent to you.
- Retrieve the password that has been sent to you. After the initial 15 minutes access, you must log in with the password to gain Internet access.
- Once logged in, enjoy the Internet. You will have two hours of Internet time per session.
