HISTORIC GROUND BREAKING

On May 15, 2012, the Richardson City Council made history by breaking ground on two major construction projects on the same day. Construction began shortly after on both the Heights Recreation Center and Family Aquatic Center and the new Richardson Gymnastics Center. The Gymnastics Center is expected to open in January 2013, while the Recreation Center and Aquatic Center will open in mid-2013.

Heights Recreation Center is Currently Closed and Under Construction - Opening in May 2013!

The Center closed to the public December 15, 2012, and classes are currently being offered at alternate locations.

NEW AMENITIES
The new Heights Recreation Center will offer patrons a variety of new amenities. It will include a full regulation-sized basketball court in the gymnasium, a dedicated game room, larger fitness and cardio areas with new equipment, updated locker rooms, larger classroom space, a preschool room, an aerobics studio and WiFi Internet access.

NEW GYMNASTICS CENTER - OPEN!

The Richardson Gymnastics Center is dedicated to the City’s gymnastics program, which has grown in popularity over the years. The facility includes a full gymnasium as well as a multi-purpose room.
