Voters Approve Amendments, Plano ISD Tax Rate Increase
Texas voters on Tuesday approved 9 amendments to the state constitution, which included the creation of a $2 billion fund to pay for long-term water-related projects.
Plano ISD voters approved a 13 cent increase in the maintenance and operations tax rate, which funds salaries and day-to-day operational costs. The debt service tax rate will go down by 5 cents, leaving Plano ISD residents with an 8 cent tax increase per $100 of assessed property value.
All election results are unofficial until the votes have been canvassed.
