Mixed-Use Developments attempt to make more efficient use of the urban landscape by combining residential and non-residential facilities into a single geographical area. These developments are often associated with Transit-Oriented Development, which is built to take advantage of one or more nearby transit facilities (such as light rail stations).
Richardson currently has three major mixed-use developments:
- Brick Row, which is located next to the Spring Valley DART Rail Station.
- Eastside (Apartments | Shops), which is located between the Arapaho and Galatyn Park DART Rail Stations.
- AMLI Galatyn Station, which is located next to the Galatyn Park DART Rail Station.
