Huffhines Art Trails returns to Richardson’s Huffhines Park this weekend, featuring more than 150 artists and craftsmen displaying and selling their work, as well as live entertainment and family fun.

The free festival will take place 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Huffhines Park. Free on-site parking is available, in the parking lot at 1500 Apollo Rd., just east of Plano Road.

Children’s activities at the annual Huffhines Art Trails include a scavenger hunt, a hay bale maze and much more.

This year’s featured artist is LeRoy Garcia, a retired secondary art teacher who lives in San Antonio. The Dallas native defines his work as “mixed media,” working in both wood and clay and using found objects in most of his art.

The artists at this year’s festival include those who work with oil painting, acrylic, photography, woodwork, pottery, glass, jewelry, metal work, leather and more.

The Front Porch Stage will feature live music, and artwork, a wide variety of festival foods, wine and beer will be available for purchase. The festival will also be one of WFAA-TV Channel 8's Family First “Day in the Community” events, with meteorologist Colleen Coyle and senior reporter Monika Diaz in attendance.
