RROB is privileged to welcome Kate Messner, author of The Trouble with Heroes, to our community to discuss her novel in an intimate setting. 

  • Join us at the 2026 Richardson Reads One Book Author Lecture Tuesday, September 15th at 7:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church Richardson. Doors open at 6:45 p.m.
  • FREE tickets available online. Individuals will be limited to 2 tickets per email address and order. 
    • If you donated between $50-99 in the past year, you should have already received one ticket via email. If you donated $100 or more, you'll receive an invitation to the VIP reception and two lecture tickets (handed out at the reception) as we get closer to the event. 
  • Luncheon tickets for Wednesday, September 16 available at the Eisemann.

Luncheon Interview and Book Signing with Kate Messner

Join us for the Richardson Reads One Book Luncheon and Book Signing at the Bank of America Hall at the Eisemann Center. Check-in begins in the main lobby at 10:45 am, with doors opening and lunch served promptly at 11 a.m. The program will begin at 11:30. Guests will enjoy a catered lunch followed by an intimate interview with Kate Messner, author of the 2026 Richardson Reads One Book selection, The Trouble with Heroes. Ms. Messner will be interviewed by Richardson Assistant Fire Chief Gene Senter. Ms. Messner will also take questions from attendees and be available afterward for book signings. Tickets are $41.50 and include lunch and parking.
