Custer Park is without power and may be throughout the weekend (May 12-13).

ONCOR recently replaced the transformer in the park, and due to an issue with that transformer, the electrical meter has been deactivated. This means no tennis lighting, restroom, security lighting, irrigation, etc.

The City of Richardson is working with ONCOR in the hopes that the repairs to the transformer can be completed on Friday, May 11, but there is a greater chance that the work may not be completed until Monday or later next week.

Some electrical systems may have been damaged because of the transformer issues. If that is the case, there may be additional repairs needed. City work crews will lock up the restrooms and place signs on them if repairs are not completed today.
