WHAT

Named “Best of the Fests” by D Magazine, the City of Richardson’s Wildflower! Arts and Music Festival, starts tonight and lasts through the weekend. The three-day event is North Texas’ largest music festival, drawing local and national acts performing the best in classic rock, country, R&B, hip hop, funk, pop, alt-rock, folk and Americana.

Joe Walsh, Nelly, The Commodores, Dashboard Confessional, Mark Chesnutt, Chic with Nile Rodgers, Lou Gramm - the Voice of Foreigner, Neal McCoy, Augustana, , Guy Clark, AbbaMania – The Abba Tribute, Le Freak – the World's Greatest Disco Band, Beth Nielsen Chapman, A Hard Night’s Day, Shealeigh – Season Four Winner from Disney’s N.B.T, and John Gorka. Also featuring a special performance and Q&A sessions with Caroline Sunshine from the Disney Channel's hit series "Shake It Up.”

TICKETS

Three-day passes – $30, may be purchased until Friday, May 18 at 5:30 p.m. Single-day tickets – $20 for adults, $3 for kids 5-12, free for kids under 4.

All tickets can be purchased at any area Tom Thumb store or via www.wildflowerfestival.com. Single day tickets are available at the gate.

Also this year: “Kidz in Free” promotion on Sunday, May 20, when all kids
under the age of 12 will get in free with a paid adult, courtesy of Bank of
America.
