The Dallas Morning News reported today that Richardson has been named the 5th Best Real Estate Market in the U.S. in a study conducted by personal finance outlet WalletHub. WalletHub analysts compared 300 cities of varying sizes across 21 key indicators of housing market attractiveness and economic strength, including home price appreciation, home sales turnover rate and job growth. Among small U.S. cities (population less than 150,000), Richardson ranked 3rd. Five of the top 10 cities in the overall U.S. rankings are in Texas.
