DART Cotton Belt Community Meeting

DART will be holding a community meeting this Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the Civic Center Grand Hall regarding the Cotton Belt Regional Rail Corridor.

The meeting is being held to review the progress of the Cotton Belt Corridor Regional Rail Project and will include both an open house and presentation with Q&A. 

DART, in cooperation with the Federal Transit Administration (FTA), the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA), and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), is preparing an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) to assess the impacts and benefits of passenger rail service on the 26-mile long Cotton Belt Corridor from DFW International Airport to CityLine and up into Plano. 

The meeting information will include:

  • Project-wide potential impacts and proposed mitigation;
  • Station locations;
  • Traffic analysis/grade separations.
