More Help Needed For Tornado Victims

Post Date:12/06/2019 11:48 AM

Since Oct. 20, the Network of Community Ministries has helped 350 Richardson families get back on their feet after an EF3 tornado caused damaged and destruction.

Through generous donations from the community, the agency has provided food, clothes and financial assistance, but more help is needed.

The agency needs personal hygiene items, full size shampoo, condition, body wash, deodorant and toothpaste.  Also, new packaged mens, women and children’s underwear, coats (all sizes), men’s winter clothes, closed toed shoes, boots for men, women and children.

Network is also requesting non-perishable food items.

“I ask that you continue to remember us and remember the victims of the tornado because we will continue to walk with them for quite some time,” said Cindy Shafer, CEO, the Network of Community Ministries.

Items can be dropped off during normal business hours (9a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday or Fridays 9 a.m. to noon). The Network of Community Ministries is located at 741 S. Sherman Street in Richardson.
