Starting December 23rd and running through January 4th, the City of Richardson will be providing temporary containers to drop off your large cardboard boxes. This crime prevention initiative is designed to reduce the opportunity for criminals to see what new items you have purchased during the holidays. Large flat screen televisions, new computers and other valuable electronics are attractive targets and a box set out for trash collection is an attractive advertisement to what is inside your home. Please use the listed drop off locations to dispose of the cardboard packaging. Please remove Styrofoam and plastic packaging before putting the box in the recycle container.
