RCAS Exhibit at Richardson City Hall/Civic Center
The Richardson Civic Art Society has installed a new exhibit on the north wall of the City Hall/Civic Center’s main hallway, featuring 19 paintings created by RCAS members. The colorful display includes framed creations of varying sizes, with subjects including still life, crashing waves, a pensive gorilla, rodeo life, a Paris streetscape and more. Most are available for purchase; contact information is posted within the exhibit.

Feb. 10
IQ® Brew
The latest offering of this bi-monthly networking and information series will feature Manasseh Durkin, President of Richardson-based Durkin Enterprises, Durkin Properties and Cityline Property Management, as well as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Richardson Chamber of Commerce. Durkin will talk about growing his own business while working with the City to help revitalize aging areas as well as discus his role and its focus on small business support.

RISD Used Book Fair
This annual used book fair also features DVDs and CDs. Proceeds benefit scholarships for RISD seniors and teachers as well as local PTAs. Fill up an entire bag for just $25.

This 10th anniversary concert commemorates and celebrates Sabine Madriguera, a gifted teacher and performer who passed away in 2012. The evening will include works performed by local students, guest artists from Colin College, UTD and the community.

“It Happened One Night” at The Core Theatre
In this original adaptation of the screen play by Robert Riskin and the short story by Samuel Hopkins Adams, a renegade reporter trailing a young runaway heiress for a big story joins her on a bus heading from Florida to New York, and they end up stuck with each other when a bus leaves them behind at one of the stops. The play is being restaged by the company after its 2016 premiere at The Core Theatre.

Shahkar Bineshpajooh, of Tehran, Iran, has brought his unique, anti-regime view of Iranian culture to the U.S. by continuing to compose music and poetry. RISD District-Wide Student Art Exhibit
This annual exhibition of artwork by Richardson Independent School District students was created by the Eisemann Educates program and provides a venue for young artists to showcase their talents and get a taste of life as a professional artist. A reception at the Gallery honoring the students takes place Tuesday, Feb. 15 from 5-6:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
