Public Open House Meeting 

The City of Richardson Transportation and Mobility Department and Parks and Recreation Department are hosting two public open houses to hear input on the Active Transportation Plan and Parks, Recreation and Open Space Master Plan.

Art Exhibit: “Laurel Canyon” Eisemann Center

An exhibition of the bright, colorful artwork of Dallas-based painter Michelle Noah, who uses a layering technique that creates texture, movement and energy.

Time: Monday-Friday, noon-5 p.m. and open during all public events
Location: Green Mezzanine Gallery at the Eisemann Center

UTD 

20th Annual Texas Guitar Competition

This unique annual competition draws youth and college-level classical guitar competitors from across the globe and features master classes, lectures, college ensemble performances and concerts by internationally renowned guitarists.

Time: March 2-5 with events beginning at various times.
Location: All public performances will be held in University Theatre
Admission: Free and open to the public

Opening Concert with David Russell

Grammy winner David Russell brings his captivating stage presence to UT Dallas to open the 20th Annual Texas Guitar Competition and Festival. He is world renowned for his musicianship and artistry, having earned the highest praise from audiences and critics alike.

The Network Presents: Senior Thursdays Network of Community Ministries

Get Jazzy at the Seniors’ Net Mardi Gras Celebration. This will include a special performance by Ruby Weston.

The Brit Pack 

Formed in 2011 by British session musicians based in New York City, The Brit Pack take their audience on a journey through a dynamic blend of British classics known and loved by all. This includes The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Queen, David Bowie, Elton John, The Who, Oasis, Radiohead, The Police, Amy Winehouse and many more.

Gymnastics Center Friday Night Fun! 

Parents can register their child online, over the phone or in person. Kids ages 4-14 can enjoy an evening of fun at the Richardson Gymnastics Center!

Admission: 
Registration required. $10 per person, resident. $15 per person, nonresident

Additional details: The online registration deadline is Thursday at midnight. After midnight on Thursday, there will be a $5 late fee assessed for all registrations and is subject to availability.

Stars of the Future Eisemann Center

Dvořák’s “Symphony No.8” showcases they rhythms and folk sounds of his native Bohemia. This concert will also feature Nicholas Hammel, the winner of the 2022 Ann & Charles Eisemann International Young Artists Competition. Hammel will perform Brahm’s lyrical and masterfully constructed “Violin Concerto”.

Lunchtime Lecture: Deadly Dallas

Author and historian, Rusty Williams, will lecture about life at the turn of the twentieth century in Dallas. It was far more lethal than those sweet old photos suggest: out-of-control fireworks displays, boiler explosions, deadly house fires, elevator failures, unexpected weather events, poor sanitation and more.
