Construction on the Silver Line will necessitate US 75 lane closures next week from Feb. 15-20. Crews are preparing to set the beams for the Silver Line rail bridge that will span US 75. Nightly lane closures will vary throughout the week. Additionally, daily single lane closures on the frontage roads will occur to stage the beams for the night construction. Crews will set one span per night starting on the east side and moving west.
Listed below are the scheduled lane closures:
Wednesday, Feb. 15 – 9 p.m.-5 a.m.
- Northbound US 75 frontage road full will be closed beginning at Renner Road and extending to CityLine Drive
- Northbound US 75 exit ramp will be closed at Plano Parkway/15th Street (Exit 28A will be closed)
- Northbound US 75 frontage road left lane will be closed at Galatyn Park Station between Campbell Road and Galatyn Station (closure will be in place 24 hours per day)
- Northbound US 75 frontage road left lane will be closed at Plano Parkway exit ramp (closure will be in place as needed)
Thursday, Feb. 16 – 9 p.m.-5 a.m.
- Northbound US 75 two right lanes will be closed between Galatyn Parkway and President George Bush Turnpike
- Northbound US 75 off ramp to President George Bush Turnpike will be closed. The off ramp will be detoured north on US 75 to Parker Road, then U-turn at Parker Road to Exit 28B of southbound US 75.
- Northbound Plano Parkway/15th Street exit ramp will be closed (Exit 28A will be closed)
- Northbound US 75 frontage road left lane will be closed at Galatyn Station between Campbell Road and Galatyn Station (closure will be in place 24 hours per day)
- Northbound US 75 frontage road left lane will be closed at Plano Parkway exit ramp (closure will be in place as needed)
Friday, Feb. 17 – 9 p.m.-7 a.m.
- All four main lanes of northbound US 75 will be closed from north of Collins Boulevard to the President George Bush Turnpike (the HOV lane will remain open and all traffic will be shifted into that lane)
- Northbound US 75 off ramp to the President George Bush Turnpike off ramp (Exit 28B) left lane will be closed
- All four main lanes of southbound US 75 will be closed from Park Boulevard to Renner Road (the HOV lane will remain open and all traffic will be shifted into that lane)
- Northbound US 75 frontage road left lane will be closed at Galatyn Park Station between Campbell Road and Galatyn Station (closure will be in place 24 hours per day)
- Northbound US 75 frontage road left lane will be closed at Plano Parkway exit ramp (closure will be in place as needed)
Saturday, Feb. 18 – 9 p.m.-7 a.m.
- All four main lanes of southbound US 75 will be closed from Park Boulevard to Renner Road (the HOV lane will remain open and all traffic will be shifted into that lane)
- Southbound US 75 exit ramp to Renner Road will be closed (Exit 27). The exit ramp will be detoured southbound to Galatyn Parkway, then U-turn at Galatyn Parkway to northbound US 75 to exit Renner Road.
- Eastbound President George Bush Turnpike exit ramp to southbound US 75 will be closed
- Westbound President George Bush Turnpike exit ramp to southbound US 75 will be closed
- Northbound US 75 two left lanes will be closed between Glenville Drive and President George Bush Turnpike
- Shoulder of southbound US 75 near the President George Bush Turnpike will be closed (closure will be in place 24 hours per day)
- Southbound US 75 frontage road right lane will be closed between Plano Parkway and the President George Bush Turnpike (closure will be in place 24 hours per day)
Sunday, Feb. 19 – 9 a.m.-5 a.m.
- Southbound US 75 frontage road will be closed between Plano Parkway and the President George Bush Turnpike
- Southbound US 75 exit ramp to Renner Road will be closed (Exit 27)
- Shoulder of southbound US 75 near the President George Bush Turnpike will be closed (closure will be in place 24 hours per day)
- Southbound US 75 frontage road right lane will be closed between Plano Parkway and the President George Bush Turnpike (closure will be in place 24 hours per day)
DART’s 26-mile Silver Line will stretch from DFW Airport to Plano with stops at UT Dallas and CityLine, traversing seven cities. At DFW Airport, the project will connect to the TEXRail Regional Rail Line to Fort Worth and provide access to the DFW Airport Skylink. The Silver Line will interface with three DART light rail lines: The Red/ Orange Lines in Richardson/Plano, the Green Line in Carrollton and the Orange Line at DFW Airport. Construction is estimated to be complete in late 2025 or mid-2026.
