Darbey’s StoryWalk®
Enjoy the August edition of Darbey’s StoryWalk®. This month’s book is titled “What the Dinosaurs Did at School” written by Refe and Susan Tuma. This book is a goofy celebration of starting a new school year. Learn lots, have fun and try not to get into too much trouble like these dinos.
Darbey’s StoryWalk® is all about movement and reading, as it enables visitors to walk along a designated path behind the Library while reading pages of a children’s book posted at 16 different stations.

Aug. 10
The IQ® Brew
“Smart Mobility” will be the topic of the day for next week’s IQ® Brew! Smart Mobility is the merging of technology, vehicles, and the roads we drive. Transportation planners Collin Moffett and Connor Sadro from the North Central Texas Council of Governments are scheduled to give a look at the future of freight optimization and digital infrastructure programs tied into regional smart mobility efforts.
The IQ® Brew is a free, public networking and educational series hosted at the Richardson IQ® HQ featuring short presentations from entrepreneurs, small business owners and subject-matter experts.

Alamo Drafthouse – Summer Kids Camp - “Paddington 2”
During the summer break, Alamo Drafthouse will show a movie for little kids, big kids and grownup kids each week. The selection of movies will range from recent animated favorites to timeless classics. Catch a showing of “Paddington 2.”
