“Murder on the Nile”
Blessed with beauty, enormous wealth and a new husband, Kay Ridgeway embarks on a honeymoon voyage down on the Nile. Fatal circumstances await when the idyllic surroundings are shattered by a shocking and brutal murder.

Making Monuments: Public Memory and Violent Pasts
Hear from Dr. Rebecka Katz Thor as she addresses what new monuments are expected to do. Examples from across Europe show the controversies around state-funded commemorations dedicated to difficult heritage, which challenge who and what is celebrated, how historic violence is made visible and how the historical narratives are constructed in public spaces.

Study of Independent Senior Living Options
Join the Richardson Senior Center for this two-part class that will help guide you to make an informed decision about independent senior living options for those 55 and older. The first week, the class will explore your wants and needs, budgets and lifestyle changes you make as you age. The next week, the class will analyze the specifics like master planned housing communities, condos, co-ops, life care facilities and senior apartments and more. Membership to the Senior Center is not required.

Richardson Senior Holiday Bazaar
Visit the annual Richardson Senior Holiday Bazaar! More than 50 senior vendors will be selling handcrafted goods including pottery, jewelry, knitted hats and blankets, paintings and much more. Get unique personal gifts for friends and family just in time for the holiday season. Food will be provided at the Senior Center’s Sip & Snack Café. Membership to the Richardson Senior Center is not required. In preparation for this event, the Senior Center will be closed for setup on Nov. 9.

Annual Christmas Parade
Attend the 51st annual City of Richardson Christmas Parade. This year’s theme is “The Parade of Misfit Toys.” Bands, floats, decorated vehicles and Santa and Mrs. Claus will delight onlookers during the parade.
Registration is now open for organizations wishing to participate in the Christmas Parade. Parade registration closes at 11:59 p.m., Nov. 20. Entry fees and new, unwrapped toys will go to Network of Community Ministries. To register, visit www.cor.net/christmasparade.
Friends of the Parade VIP Packages are also one sale. Friends of the Parade receive a parking pass, complimentary refreshments, reserved seating and donation to Network in their name.
