“Stops Along the Way”

This holiday season you can see more than half a million holiday lights that brighten CityLine. There is also an 18-foot Christmas tree for you to capture the perfect photo with family, friends and pets.

Nov. 23
Letter From Santa
Kids of all ages can get a personalized letter from Santa Claus. The letter is addressed specifically to the individual child and sent on very special stationary. You can get a form from the front desk at Huffhines Recreation Center. Letters will start being mailed the last week of November.
Time: Registration ends Dec. 6

“The Nutcracker”
Chamberlain Ballet presents its annual production of “The Nutcracker.” Tiler Peck and Roman Mejia from The New York City Ballet perform as the Sugar Plum Fairy and her Cavalier.

“Red Kettle Challenge”
The City Council established a “Virtual Red Kettle” where the community can make digital donations to assist in providing food and shelter for those in need. The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign involves volunteers ringing bells and collecting donations in red kettles outside of stores during the holiday season. The funds raised will support various community programs and services provided by The Salvation Army.

Annual Christmas Parade
Attend the 51st annual City of Richardson Christmas Parade. This year’s theme is “The Parade of Misfit Toys.” Bands, floats, decorated vehicles and Santa and Mrs. Claus will delight onlookers during the parade.
If you want to participate, but not as an entry, consider volunteering. Volunteers are needed to help with staging and to be parade marshals.
Friends of the Parade VIP Packages are also on sale. Friends of the Parade receive a parking pass, complimentary refreshments, reserved seating and donation to Network in their name.
