Sensing Deep Space
The nonprofit SciArt Exchange presents an installment called “Sensing Deep Space: Pandora’s Cluster.” It draws inspiration from “Pandora’s Cluster,” a galactic collision of several galaxy clusters located approximately 4 billion light years away. The performance incorporates cutting-edge technologies to create a multi-sensory experience.

“The King’s Face”
A full-length drama in one act, “The King’s Face” is loosely based on the true story of a wounded warrior, Prince Harry of Monmouth, struck down by an arrow to the face in 1403 wholives to become Henry V.

2024 Photo Contest
Entries for the City of Richardson Park and Recreation 2024 Photo Contest are being accepted. The winners of the different divisions, student, amateur adult and proficient adult, will have their work displayed at Huffhines Recreation Center.

Common Thread Collective – People, Places & Things
Common Thread Collective is a group of women from Texas who share a passion for art and collaboration hoping to inspire others through the use of visual art. Three of the artists from the collective returned to the Eisemann Center’s Forrest and Virginia Green Mezzanine Gallery with a variety of mediums and unique takes on the theme of this exhibition: People, Places & Things.

Author Lecture
“Walking Together, Walking Alone: Timeless Models of Independence” features noted Asian American author Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni. Divakaruni is known for portraying the challenge of balancing the desire for independence with societal obligations facing women – as in the charismatic women of her current novel, “Independence,” and in her retellings of the foundational Indian epics, “Mahabharata” and “Ramayana.”

Microsoft Word Beginner

It’s Time Texas Community Challenge Yoga Event; Community Walk Canceled Due to Weather
Start your Saturday with a free yoga class offered by Richardson Parks and Recreation as part of the It’s Time Texas Community Challenge. Free T-shirts will be given out to all those who participate in the class. A community walk that was scheduled to take place prior to the yoga class has been canceled due to the forecast calling for below freezing temperatures.
The It’s Time Texas (ITT) Community Challenge is an annual eight-week statewide health competition, this year ending March 3. To participate in the Challenge, download the “ITT Community Challenge” smartphone app and select Richardson to add to our community points!
You do not need to be in the Challenge to take part in this free event. See graphic above for more upcoming free ITT Community Challenge events.

Cooking Well for Healthy Blood Pressure
Hosted by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, join the Senior Center for a cooking school designed to help those concerned about high blood pressure and anyone who prepares meals for them. This series of three interactive classes is full of research-based information and healthy recipes. Sessions include: “DASHing Your Way to Improved Health,” “A Virtual Grocery Store Tour” and “Cooking with Spices and Herbs.” Membership to the Senior Center is not required.

An Interplanetary Experience
This multi-media interplanetary musical exploration features award-winning accordionist Sofia Ros performing Piazzolla’s Concerto for Bandoneón and Orchestra. The celestial journey concludes with Holst’s beloved suite, “The Planets.”

This is an introductory class in Google tools such as Google Search, Google Images, Google YouTube and Google Maps with hands-on practice. Pegasus Theatre - “Death Express”
It’s all aboard for comedy and mayhem as Harry Hunsacker and his paid-by-the-hour assistant Nigel Grouse take a cross country train trip bound for murder. Naturally, Lt. Foster of the real police is along for the ride. As bodies pile up, the intrepid trio must untangle hidden motives and a cast of unlikely suspects to identify a killer in their midst.
Please note that due to the special effects in this performance, the theater is held at a cool temperature; audiences are advised to dress warmly.

DART Silver Line Regional Rail Biannual Community Meeting
Join DART for an in-person community meeting to review the progress of the DART Silver Line Regional Rail Project. Presentations during the meeting will include project facts and updates, design-build update, vehicle design progress, hike and bike trail progress and more.
The Silver Line project will provide regional rail service along the 26-mile-long Silver Line corridor from DFW International Airport to Plano.

“The SpongeBob Musical”
