Residential Cook Oil/Grease Collection Event
The Residential Cooking Oil/Grease Collection event that was scheduled as part of Trash Bash has been rescheduled. People can drop off used cooking oil and grease at the Service Center through May 10. The collection location will be in the parking lot adjacent to the southernmost entrance to the Municipal Service Center off Glenville Drive. Use a sealable container and place in the plastic bin located in the parking lot. Please note that motor oil and other automotive fluid is not accepted. Grease dropped off will either be used to create biodiesel or turned into biogas for energy production.

Richardson Counselor in Training Program
The Richardson Parks and Recreation Counselor in Training (CIT) Program is designed to offer kids ages 13-17 an opportunity to prepare for positions as camp counselors or recreation leaders. Those interested in the CIT program must complete an application process, which includes an application, references and an interview. Applications are now being accepted.

Dodgeball at Heights Recreation Center
Dallas Dodgeball is hosting Thursday night games this summer at Heights Recreation Center for ages 16 and up. The league offers a great way to play a fun sport, stay fit and meet other fun and active people. Players of all skill levels compete in the league, from beginners to experts. The league is a draft league, with all players who register drafted to a team to ensure that teams are balanced and no one is left out. The registration deadline is May 9.

Join the Richardson Senior Center for a yoga approach that adapts each yoga practice to your unique condition, needs and interests by giving you tools to individualize and actualize the process of a self-discovery and personal transformation. There is also specialized emphasis on function rather than mastery of form in different postures in order to achieve specific effects. All levels welcome.

Beginning Bookhand Calligraphy Workshop
Join the Richardson Senior Center to learn to create beautiful hand lettering in a typeface called Bookhand. Use it in any place you’d like to use beautiful handwriting. Membership to the Senior Center is not required.

“Our Town”
“Our Town” tells the story of a small town, Grover’s Corners, New Hampshire. Narrated by the “Stage Manager,” follow the Gibbs and Webb families, residents of Grover’s Corners, through twelve years of life changes.

First Fridays
Eisemann Center Presents a small reception on the first Friday night of each month completely free and open to the public to celebrate the new exhibit in the Green Mezzanine Gallery. The exhibiting artist will often be available to chat with visitors about their work.

Stroke Awareness
Join the Richardson Senior Center to discuss the signs commonly associated with a stroke diagnosis, along with risk factors, symptoms and prevention measures. Wildflower! Cornhole Tournament
Registration is now open for the Wildflower! Cornhole Tournament, which will take place at the festival. The grand prize is a $125 gift card to Scheels, with second place bringing home a $50 Scheels gift card. Registration deadline is May 12.
