“Lost in Yonkers”
This story centers around two brothers, Arty and Jay, who live with their grandmother and their mentally challenged Aunt Bella. Their father travels and is desperately trying to get enough money together while working as a salesman to pay off his debts to a loan shark. Throughout the story, the young boys learn lessons about love, responsibility and the importance of family that will carry them into adulthood.

Dialogue Institute Dallas 2024-2025 Art Contest
The Dialogue Institue Dallas announced the theme of its 2024-2025 Art Contests is “Empathy: Walking in Another’s Shoes.” High school and college students from charter, public and private institutions in the DFW area are eligible to participate. The categories include painting/drawing and photography/video. Students can start working on their submissions during their summer break.

UNIDOS Summer Safety Kickoff
Join the Richardson Police Department and kick off summer with families, games, food and more. Everyone is welcome. UNIDOS is a Hispanic community outreach program designed to provide assistance to Spanish-speaking residents in the Richardson area.

The Heights Family Aquatic Center will open May 25-27 for Memorial Day weekend and reopen, along with all four neighborhood pools, for the summer on Saturday, June 1.
