Late Nite Catechism

“Late Nite Catechism” 

“Late Nite Catechism” is an uproarious piece of theater that takes audience members back – sometimes nostalgically, sometimes fearfully – to the children they once were. The irrepressible Sister teaches an adult catechism class to a roomful of “students” (the audience). Over the course of the play, Sister goes from benevolent instructor, rewarding the “students” for correct answers with glow-in-the dark rosaries and other nifty prizes, to authoritative drill sergeant.

“Chicago Tribute Authority Texas” is a tribute to the music of Chicago. This show will take you back to the “Beginnings” and the “Old Days” of the band Chicago. Performing hit single one after another, if you have been “Searchin’ So Long” for a band paying due homage to the iconic group, “Chicago Tribute Authority Texas” is the must-see show of the summer.

Inclusive Swim & Play Days

Richardson’s Inclusive Swin & Play Days are specific days that you can bring your family members with a disability or special needs to swim and play free of charge for almost two hours before the general public is allowed into the pool.

Behind the deed is “Slick” Wallace as part of a ruthless plot to take over the store for his employer, Scarbucks. To make matters worse, Annie’s parents were killed in an accidental - or was it? - collapse of a fertilizer bin.

Summer Theatre Camps 

Kids and teens can join the Repertory Company Theatre for camps that focus on acting, voice and dance. Students will work together to either put on a performance of “CATS Young Actor’s Edition” or “Beauty and the Beast Jr.” Registration for these camps is now open.

Teen Camps 

Campers will explore and adventure all around the DFW area with three field trips/special guests per week. When they aren’t on a field trip, they will visit a city-owned swimming pool twice weekly and enjoy gym time, sports activities, a video game room, group games, and space to hang out with their new friends.

Around the World – Europe's Crown Jewel 

Join the Richardson Senior Center and travel to Lake Geneva and Zermatt on the 150-year-old cogwheel train up into the mountains to view the Matterhorn. From there, travel across the Alps to St. Moritz on the Glacier Express, Lucerne and finally to Zurich. Be ready to sing the sounds of music. This trip can be done all from the comfort of your chair. Membership to the Richardson Senior Center is not required.

Dive-In Movie - Finding Dory

Dive-In Movie: “Finding Dory”

Would you like to splash in the pool while enjoying a movie? Join the Parks and Recreation Department for a dive-in movie night. The movie shown will be “Finding Dory.” Lifeguards will be on duty. Single-person floatation devices are allowed at the pool with lifeguard discretion. Slides and special water features will be turned off during the movie (lap pool and lazy river will be open). No outside food, drinks or alcohol is allowed.  

Time: Movie begins at sunset (around 8:30 p.m.)
