Adults and teens can use craft paper and vintage magazines to upcycle/repurpose a lidded, wood cigar box through the easy art of decoupage. Create an artistic “caddy” to hold keys, loose change, sewing supplies, tea bags, charging cords, or whatever needs organizing. All supplies are provided.

Cosmic Discoveries with NASA Solar System Ambassador Michelle Wilde 

Kids in grades 3-8 can learn about NASA’s newest and largest space telescope, the James Webb Space Telescope. They can learn about the advanced technology on board, the special process used to launch it, what makes it unique among space telescopes and see amazing pictures from across the universe. Presented by NASA Solar System Ambassador Michelle Wilde. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. This is Richardson Public Library-sponsored event.

Teen Program – Adulting 101: Voting 

Want to learn more about voting, but aren’t sure where to start? Join the Richardson Public Library for a special event with the Dallas County Elections Office and get the lowdown on the ins and outs of your most important civic duty. Voter registration will be provided to those who qualify. This program is open to teens and young adults. If you’re a teen and you’re not old enough to vote, that’s ok. You can still learn about voting.

This workshop will cover the basics of gardening, which can be used anywhere – from where you live to where you work. It is designed for beginners as well as more experienced gardeners.
