“The Horror”
UT Dallas’ SP/N Gallery presents “The Horror,” an exhibition featuring artists who use the horror genre to create disturbing, mystical, romantic and comic effects. It includes painting, sculpture, video, new media and a special film screening.

Dialogue Institute Dallas 2024-2025 Art Contest
The Dialogue Institute Dallas announced its 2024-2025 Art Contest’s theme of “Empathy: Walking in Another’s Shoes.” High school and college students from charter, public and private institutions in the DFW area are eligible to participate. The categories include painting/drawing and photography/video. Students can start working on their submissions during their summer break.

Iceland and the Hunt for the Northern Lights
Spewing volcanoes, icy glaciers, black sand beaches, geysers and majestic waterfalls await. Join the Richardson Public Library and Professor Steve Solosky, also known as the Traveling Professor, as he shares when to visit Iceland, what to see, where to eat and where to stay. This is a nonstop blast, sci-fi horror comedy, love story and rock musical that has become one of the most treasured pieces of American musical theatre. The story follows a luckless florist shop worker, Seymour, who raises a wisecracking carnivorous plant that develops a craving for human blood.

This is a class for absolute beginners to gain fundamental computing skills.
