Dialogue Institute Art Contest 2024

Dialogue Institute Dallas 2024-2025 Art Contest 

The Dialogue Institute Dallas announced its 2024-2025 Art Contest’s theme of “Empathy: Walking in One Another’s Shoes.” High school and college students from charter, public and private institutions in the DFW area are eligible to participate. The categories include painting/drawing and photography/video. Students can start working on their submissions during their summer break.

Gobble Hobble 2024

Annual Gobble Hobble 

Registration is still open for the 19th Annual Richardson Gobble Hobble. This event, featuring a Family Fun Run and 5K, benefits the Richardson Boys & Girls Club. There will be a Fun Zone, which includes a free photo booth, balloon artist and street games.

Six Feet Under - RPL

Six Feet Under Texas, with Tui Snider 

Join the Richardson Public Library to see a photo-filled presentation where Tui Snider shares forgotten North Texas burial history. Also, in honor of Veterans Day, Tui will talk about U.S. military headstones. Learn how to identify different kinds and which symbols to look for. This program is for adults and teens.

“The Horror” 

UT Dallas’ SP/N Gallery presents “The Horror,” an exhibition featuring artists who use the horror genre to create disturbing, mystical, romantic and comic effects. It includes painting, sculpture, video, new media and a special film screening.

Donate to the Richardson Fire Department’s Toy and Food Drive benefiting the Network of Community Ministries. New toys and food items will be accepted at the following locations:

COR Day Camps (Fall break, New years, Spring break camp)  2024-2025

Cor Day Camps - Fall Camp

Fall Break Camp is a three-day program on Monday-Wednesday the week of Thanksgiving while RISD is out of school. Campers ages 5-11 will enjoy various games, activities, and fall-themed crafts both indoors and outdoors (weather-permitting). Please bring a sack lunch, water bottle, closed-toe shoes, a snack, and a jacket.

Christmas Lights

CityLine LIGHTS 

Join CityLine this holiday season to see more than half a million holiday lights that brighten CityLine in a cheerful glow. The moving icicle-styled lights in the trees and overhead lights draped over the plaza lawn will serve as a memorable backdrop for happy holiday memories. There will also be an 18-foot Christmas tree that will stand tall in the plaza for you to capture the perfect festive photo with friends, family and pets.
