Annual Richardson 2025 Art Contest
Artists are invited to participate in Richardson’s Annual Black History Month Art contest. Winning works will be published by the City with artists receiving $200 and certificates of achievement from the Mayor and City Council. Students must live in Richardson, or attend school with the city, to be eligible to enter.Time: Now through Feb. 28 (Art submissions accepted)

“Traversing Boundaries: 12 Contemporary Female Artists of India”
“Traversing Boundaries” is the culmination of UTD lecturer Colette Copeland’s Fullbright Scholar research in India writing about interdisciplinary female artists exploring socially engaged themes and practices. Each of the 12 artists tells a unique story through the lens of their lived experiences.Time: Available during normal SP/N Gallery operating hours

2024 City Photo Contest Winners and Judge’s Exhibition
The Best of Show and Best of Division Winner’s Exhibit from the City’s 2024 Photo Contest, as well as the 2024 Photo Contest Judge’s Exhibit, are on display. The Best of Show and Best of Division Exhibit features the work of Kaye Hargis, David Steger and Ava Dunn, while the Judge’s Exhibit features the photographs of Rebecca Deragon, Hector Reyes and Robin Thompson.

“She’s Got Soul”
“She’s Got Soul” fuses the Richardson Symphony’s orchestral grandeur with the smooth soulful tapestry of R&B singer Capathia Jenkins. Adaptive Mardi Gras Fest - (Registration Opens Feb. 1)
Celebrate Mardi Gras at Heights Recreation Center. There will be food, games, and a talent show. You will also have the opportunity to participate in a masquerade parade so bring a mask and a costume if you’d like from home. All talent show participants must submit a talent show application prior to the event for staff approval.
