Budding Talent Vocal Competition
Students in kindergarten through 12th grades are invited to compete for a chance to perform at Wildflower! Arts & Music Festival on Sunday, May 18. Live auditions will be held on Sunday, April 6 at the Richardson Senior Center.Time: Friday, March 21 (deadline to apply)

Music is everywhere! Create your own art masterpiece to show what that phrase means to you. Richardson students in kindergarten through 6th grades are invited to participate. Winners will receive a ribbon and two tickets to the Wildflower! Arts & Music Festival. 2024 – AARP Free Tax Preparation Help
Tax preparation appointments are available and will be held at both the Heights and Huffhines Recreation Centers. You must complete an AARP tax packet, available at the Library and Recreation Centers. You must also bring important documents such as a government-issued ID, the prior year’s tax returns and Social Security cards.Time: 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. (last appointment at 2 p.m.) Available through April 14

Annual Richardson 2025 Art Contest
Artists are invited to participate in Richardson’s Annual Black History Month Art contest. Winning works will be published by the City with artists receiving $200 and certificates of achievement from the Mayor and City Council. Students must live in Richardson, or attend school within the city, to be eligible to enter.

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service Hosts “Cooking Well, Exploring Cultures” Workshops
“Cooking Well, Exploring Cultures” is a four-week hands-on cooking series consisting of lessons on the food preparation of Irish/Spanish, Southern American and soul food. The program introduces new recipes and cooking techniques and aims to improve the health knowledge and confidence level of participants for cooking diverse foods. Membership to the Richardson Senior Center is not required.

“Dog Man: The Musical” is a production based on the worldwide, bestselling series from Dav Pilkey, the creator of “Captain Underpants” and “Cat Kid Comic Club.” Best buds George and Harold have been creating comics for years, but now that they’re in 5th grade, they figure it’s time to level up and write a musical based on their favorite character, Dog Man, the crime-biting sensation who is part dog, part man and all hero. Adaptive Mardi Gras Fest - (Registration Open)
Celebrate Mardi Gras at Heights Recreation Center. There will be food, games, and a talent show. You will also have the opportunity to participate in a masquerade parade so bring a mask and a costume if you’d like from home. The Great Richardson Baking Bonanza – RALC Murder Mystery Event (Tickets Available Now)
Join the Richardson Adult Literacy Center (RALC) for the annual Murder Mystery Event. The first act of the performance will end with tragedy. Then, audience members will work together to figure out who is the culprit. Special guest performers include Richardson City Council member Dan Barrios, Amanda Pritchard with UT Dallas, Gavin Nichols with Farmer’s Insurance, Dave Swiney with Shady’s Burgers & Brewhaha, and Sally Grinsfelder, RALC supporter and winner of the 2024 guest actor auction.
