Changes to the flow of traffic on Custer Parkway near Aldridge Elementary will occur next week, weather permitting, as part of the Custer Parkway Reconstruction Project. Work is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, May 28.
Crews will begin waterline replacement work for a segment of Phase 3 from Pleasant Valley Lane to Renner Road, followed by pavement replacement. While work is underway on the northbound lanes, traffic will be shifted to the southbound lanes (west side of the roadway) with one lane of traffic open in each direction. No parking will be allowed on the street in the segment that is under construction. Driveway access will be maintained, except when work is directly in front of a property. Temporary driveway access will be provided either by cutting through the median or allowing side entry.
Trash and recycling service will continue along the alleys and should not be impacted. Additionally, the bike lanes along Custer Parkway will be closed within the segment under construction.
