Branching Out in Genealogy
Barbara Coakley, President of the Genealogy Friends of Plano Libraries, will lead a genealogy talk about filling gaps in records for direct line ancestors. She’ll explore expanding research to other family members and answer research questions. This Richardson Public Library-sponsored event is for those 50 years and older. You are welcome to bring your lunch.

Boho Disco Arrangement Workshop
Join Lizzie Bee’s Flower Shoppe to design a flower arrangement that blends vibrant boho charm with a splash of disco magic. Create a funky-fresh arrangement bursting with bold purples, sunny yellows, peaches and pops of pink. It will be designed in a shimmering disco ball vase that brings the party to your petals. Designed for beginners and seasoned floral enthusiasts, the class will include tools, greenery and flowers.

Anti-Bird-Collision Window Art
Up to 1 billion birds die from window strikes in the U.S. every year. For birds, glass windows are worse than invisible. They reflect foliage or the sky and look like inviting places to fly into. Join the John Bunker Sands Wetland Center for a fun DIY volunteer painting project that will help birds see windows for what they are. Supplies will be provided. The event is geared toward kids, but anyone is welcome to attend and help. A pizza lunch will also be provided.Time: 9 a.m.-noon (Saturday)

Republic Services Recycling Tour – Registration Open
The City of Richardson, in partnership with Republic Services, is offering an exclusive opportunity for residents to participate in guided recycling tours at the Republic Services facility in Plano. Attendees will gain an in-depth understanding of the recycling process, from material collection to sorting and processing, demonstrating the critical role recycling plays in environmental sustainability.

Sugary Shrubs Cookie Decorating Workshop - Must Register by July 24
In this hands-on, beginner-friendly class, you’ll decorate six adorable plant-themed cookies using four different icing colors. Over the course of two hours, you’ll learn some baking basics and essential decorating techniques. Membership to the Richardson Senior Center is not required.

Dive-In Movies – “Mean Girls”
Splash into the lap pool or float through the lazy river during this Dive-In Movies event at Heights Family Aquatics Center. Those 18 and older can watch “Mean Girls.” Lifeguards will be on duty. All rules of the pool must be followed. Concessions will be for sale.
