Alamo Drafthouse: “Shrek” 25th Anniversary Movie Party
Join Alamo Drafthouse to relive every moment of Shrek’s daring quest to rescue the feisty Princess Fiona with the help of his loveable, loudmouthed Donkey and win back the deed to his beloved swamp. The 25th anniversary movie party will include interactive props like wearable ogre ears, eye-popping birds and a fizzy swamp bath bomb. There will also be an onion peeling contest for a prize.

Adaptive Sailing Adventure – Must Register by May 20
Join the Parks and Recreation Department’s Adaptive Program at the Harbor in Rockwall and enjoy a walk along the pier. Board the Sapphire Star for a 90-minute cruise under the colorful evening sky on Lake Ray Hubbard. All participants must have some form of disability to participate. Bring extra money for dinner. There will be dinner at the harbor before heading to the waterfront. Manual wheelchairs only. Sailing begins at 7:30 p.m. The sunset cruise makes for a wonderful after-dinner treat.

The Stockton Helbing Quartet
The premiere of the Eisemann Center’s Summer Jazz series, The Stockton Helbing Quartet is led by one of DFW’s most prolific jazz stars, Stockton Helbing. Stockton is always moving. If he is not playing the drums, he is busy being a composer, arranger, producer, bandleader, educator, music director, author, and entrepreneur. Stockton maintains a busy schedule of performing, recording, lecturing, and teaching around North America with small groups, big bands and percussion ensembles. Presented by Eisemann Center Jazz.

Teen Program – One Night Ultimate Werewolf

Microsoft Excel Intermediate
In order to take this Richardson Public Library-sponsored class, you will need to have taken the Microsoft Excel Beginner class or have equivalent experience. Participants will learn to understand Absolute vs. Relative calculations, create simple graphs, add subtotals, add functions, add comments in cells and use the special sum function. Laptops will be provided for the class. This class is for adults.

Disc Golf at Breckinridge Park

Groundbreakers: Post-War Japan and Korea from the DMA Collection
“Groundbreakers” brings together artists who played with materiality, space and performance in postwar Japan and Korea after the 1950s. This exhibition is organized by The University of Texas at Dallas in collaboration with The Dallas Museum of Art.

UT Dallas Hosts Summer Chess Camps for Kids and Teens – Registration Open
Children and teens ages 8-17 can learn chess or perfect existing skills. Classes are small with a low student-to-teacher ratio and students grouped by ability, age, experience and instructor assessment.
