Permit Fee Schedule

Permit submittal requirements are as follows:

Provide completed permit application - Residential Building Permit Application.

Two sets of the following are required. All construction documents must be drawn to scale.

  • Plot plan of the property and proposed addition. Shade or cross hatch the addition area and provide distances to property lines.
  • Foundation plan for the proposed addition, denote the type of existing foundation. All foundations must be engineered by a licensed Texas engineer.
  • A dimensioned floor plan of the proposed addition. Including: immediate adjacent rooms with each room use labeled, egress sizes (windows/doors for bedrooms) and a written scope of work.
  • A typical wall section with shear wall construction details.
  • A complete roof framing plan - include all framing member sizing, spacing, clear spans & species. All conventional framing must demonstrate compliance with the 2018 International Residential Code or be appropriately engineered.
  • Second floor framing plan - include all framing member sizing, spacing, clear spans & species. All conventional framing must demonstrate compliance with the 2018 International Residential Code or be appropriately engineered. Pre-engineered floor systems (LPI, TJI, etc.): Submit the takeoff plan provided by the lumber company.
  • Elevations or exterior side views of the structure. Label all exterior materials & provide material specifications. Must comply with the 2021 International Residential Code.
  • Computer generated energy compliance report demonstrating compliance with the 2021 International Energy Conservation Code.
  • Foam insulation code compliance report (ES, IAPMO, etc.) or manufacturers specifications (if applicable).
  • Additional plans as required by the building official (if applicable).
