Welcome to the Capital Projects/Engineering Department for the City of Richardson. Our department of innovative professionals with diverse experience is committed to providing our customers, engineering services and unsurpassed quality produced in a timely manner.

The Capital Projects/Engineering Department is responsible for:

• Planning, preparing, and administering current and future Bond Programs
• Providing inspection for public works construction projects in the City of Richardson
• Providing engineering and surveying support to other city departments
• Maintaining and updating the City of Richardson Standard Construction Details and elevation benchmarks 
• Administering the local portion of the National Flood Insurance Program
• Coordinating federal, state, county and local projects in the City of Richardson 
• Coordinating city facilities maintenance
