The first step to being prepared is knowing what potential hazards are facing your area and how to get the most current information no matter where you are.

Be Informed So You Can Take Action

Sign up for local communications, cell phone applications, get connected through Twitter, and purchase a NOAA Weather Radio so you get the information you need to react fast.

Read about common hazards and learn what protective measures to take before, during, and after an emergency.

Once you've signed up to receive local warning information and learned how to protect yourself in a disaster, MAKE A PLAN.
