The City of Richardson's financial policies are adopted by the City council and were developed within the parameters established by applicable provisions of state statutes and the City of Richardson City Charter. The policies are intended to assist the City Council and City staff in evaluating current activities and proposals for future programs.

The Annual Comprehensive Financial Report is the City’s official annual financial statements which are prepared in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. These financial statements are audited by the City’s Independent Auditor and include the Independent Auditor’s Report.

The Independent Auditors’ Report on Federal Awards in Accordance with OMB Circular A-133 is the result of a separate audit of the City’s federal grant programs. This audit is performed by the City’s Independent Auditors when the City has $750,000 or more of federal grant expenditures in a fiscal year.
