The City of Richardson is a member of the Texas Municipal Retirement System (TMRS). The plan is City and employee funded for full-time and some qualified part-time employees. If you are considering retiring, review the Retirement Planning Checklist and TMRS Pre-Retirement Handout. You will need to schedule an appointment, at least 45 days prior to your desired retirement date, with Human Resources (972.744.4001). Be sure to review the Retirement Planning Checklist prior to your appointment. TMRS accepts driver's licenses as proof of birth or you may submit any of the items shown on the TMRS List of Acceptable Proofs of Birth. Proof of Birth is necessary when filing for TMRS retirement.
Human Resources periodically offers Pre-Retirement Seminars for those employees who are within a few years or retirement. These seminars will be announced as they are scheduled. In addition, you may check out tapes of these seminars by contacting Lynn Lambert (972.744.4009).
TMRS CHANGE OF ADDRESS FORM
TMRS requires this form to be used to make any address or name changes to your TMRS account. This form will be used for ALL changes to your personnel records. Please return the original form to Chelsie Montgomery in HR (972-744-4007).
