3. On the job detail page, read steps 1-3. To access the employment application click "I Agree". Only online applications are accepted.

  • Human Resources does not accept resumes. If you are contacted for an interview, you may present your resume to the interviewer.
  • Positions are subject to close without notice.
  • Drug testing is required for all positions.

Consistent attendance and punctuality are Essential Functions of all jobs with the City of Richardson. Employees will be expected to report to work when scheduled. Employees are expected to be at their assigned workplaces at the beginning of work periods and after all break/lunch periods.

The Richardson Municipal Civil Service Program was established by the City Charter. It created principles and procedures to be followed by City Administration and established a merit system for performance management. These rules are intended to provide a working guide for City officials and familiarize City employees with the chief objectives and practices of the City.
