 To visit any of the City of Richardson Pools and/or the Aquatic Center, a Daily Admission Pass or a 2026 Season Pass Card is required.  

Daily Admission Passes

Daily Admission Passes are valid for a single day use. Passes can be purchased directly at the facility during open hours on the day of your visit. Admission fees apply to ALL individuals aged 4 and older, regardless of whether they will be swimming.

Season Passes

Season Passes allow guests unlimited access to the Richardson pools during regular open hours for the entire 2026 summer season. Season Passes can be purchased at the Heights or Huffhines Recreation Centers, or online/by phone as of May 8th, 2026. Passes may also be purchased at the Heights Family Aquatic Center as of May 23rd, 2026. 

If purchased online, you must bring your printed receipt to pick up your Season Pass Card at one of the Recreation centers PRIOR to your first visit.   

All Pools Season Passes Valid at all Richardson Pools & at the Heights Family Aquatic Center. Non-Residents are NOT eligible for a Family Season Pass. Cash, Check, & Credit Card accepted.

Large Groups

All large groups of 25+ individuals that are planning to attend any of our pools are asked to contact the Aquatics Office prior to your visit.  

For all day camps, day cares, & schools: Please be advised of Cati’s Act requirements, effective 09/01/2023.

Aquatics Swimwear

Proper swim attire is required for admission into all pools. Please see our infographic below for appropriate swim attire examples. Anyone attending our facilities will be expected to have appropriate swimwear on and may be refused entry if swim attire is not compliant with our requirements.

Swim School & Private Swim Lessons

Swim Lesson online registration opens for Richardson residents at midnight Wednesday, April 1, 2026, and at midnight Wednesday April 8, 2026, for Non-Residents.  

• Registration will remain open until all available slots have been filled.
  • If all slots have been filled, you may register for the waitlist. This allows us to contact you in case an opening becomes available so that you may enroll your child prior to the start of the program.   

We offer a progressive swim lesson program with hands-on instructors and the ability for swimmers to learn at their own pace in peer groups. Lessons are priced to be affordable for our community as we believe water safety and learning to swim are skills everyone should learn! Our group lessons will be offered at each Neighborhood Pool and are broken out by age group: 

• Parent & Child Aquatics: 6 mos. - 2 yrs
• Preschool Splashers: 3 - 5 yrs.
• Elementary Swimmers: 6 - 12 yrs.
• Teen-Adults: 13+ yrs.

We also offer private lessons with one instructor with one swimmer, or one instructor with two swimmers. Private lessons allow for more personalized attention and faster progress of skills. This is an excellent option for anyone who has no swimming experience, a fear of the water or would like to improve upon their existing skills individually.

Neighborhood Swim Teams

This program is a recreational introduction to swimming as a competitive sport. We will focus on building endurance through interval training and refining technique for all four competitive strokes.

Each participant will receive a team swim cap and goggles, plus one additional giveaway swim team item for the season. Participants are responsible for purchasing their own swimsuits. 

Swim teams are important to our community! We offer five local teams at three of our neighborhood pools. They provide a positive summer learning opportunity to compete, improve swim strokes, endurance and times. We have amazing coaches, teams and families that are committed to volunteering and cheering for all athletes.

Pre-Requisites to Join:

• Participants 5-8 years old must be able to swim ONE continuous length of the pool.
• Participants 9-16 years old must be able to swim TWO continuous lengths of the pool
• All swimmers must have basic skills in freestyle, breast, & back strokes.

Practices & Swim Meets

Practices are held Mon.-Fri., and 4 swim meets are scheduled on Saturday mornings (6/13, 6/27, 7/11, 7/25) throughout the summer between our teams. Parents and volunteers are strongly encouraged to participate in each of our meets as timers and deck assistants. There will be no swim team June 29- July 3rd, 2025.

Pool Reservations may be made online beginning Friday, May 1, 2026 at midnight, or by phone/in-person beginning Friday, May 8, 2026 at 9am. To make reservations online, visit www.cor.net/parksonline. To reserve by phone, please call the Aquatics Office at (972)744-7892. To reserve in-person, visit the Huffhines Recreation Center (preseason) or the Heights Family Aquatics Center (during the summer season) for assistance.  

Important Tips for Reserving Online 
• Create your account in advance at www.cor.net/parksonline  
• Save a credit card to your account  
• Payment in full is due at the time of the booking 
• Have multiple dates available for your event if your first choice is not available

Pavilion Reservations 

The Heights Family Aquatic Center offers Pavilion Reservations during open hours to any & all guests. Pavilion Reservations allow you to reserve a shaded area with picnic tables and lounge chairs for you and your guests. For Pavilion Reservations, all admission fees must be paid for each person by the either the host or the guests themselves.  

Rental Fees: 

Pavilion Reservations only available in 2-hour blocks during public open hours. 

• Weekday Rentals (Tues. - Fri.): $35.00 + Guest Admission fees 

• Weekend Rentals (Sat. - Sun.): $45.00 + Guest Admission fees

The City of Richardson will be hiring seasonal lifeguards, swim instructors, coaches and cashiers.  We provide a great team environment, flexible work schedules, and free training! Interviews begin in January and continue until all positions are filled.
