Heights Family Aquatic Center is Richardson’s largest aquatic facility and offers lap swimming, leisure swimming, a children’s splash area, water slides, shade areas and other seasonal amenities.

Daily Admission and Season Pass Information 

A Daily Admission or 2026 Season Pass is required to visit City of Richardson pools and the Heights Family Aquatic Center. Admission fees apply to all guests age 4 and older, including non-swimmers.

  • Nonresidents, age 4+: $8  
  • Children age 3 and under: Free  
  • Payment accepted: Cash, check, credit card and Tap-to-Pay 

Neighborhood Pools 

Canyon Creek, Cottonwood, Glenville and Terrace pools 
  • Richardson residents, age 4+: $2  
  • Nonresidents, age 4+: $4

  • Payment accepted: Cash and check only 

Season Passes 

Season passes provide unlimited access during regular open hours for the 2026 summer season. Passes may be purchased at Heights or Huffhines Recreation Centers, online or by phone beginning May 8, and at Heights Family Aquatic Center beginning May 23. 

All Pools Season Pass 

Valid at all Richardson pools, including Heights Family Aquatic Center. 
  • Individual Richardson resident: $45  
  • Individual nonresident: $65  
  • Resident Family Season Pass, up to four members: $150  

Neighborhood Pools Season Pass 

Valid at neighborhood pools only and excludes Heights Family Aquatic Center
  • Individual Richardson resident: $30  
  • Individual nonresident: $40  
  • Resident Family Season Pass, up to four members: $100  
Family Season Passes are available to Richardson residents only. Family members must reside in the same household, and no proration or refunds are given for season passes. We strongly encourage purchasing season passes in advance at the once of our Recreation Centers to avoid lines at the pools the day you want to swim.

The Yard

Heights Family Aquatic Center offers rental areas for gatherings, including Pool Pavilions and The Yard. The Yard is a privately gated space located just off the pool deck. The area is typically shaded by large trees and includes leveled astroturf, three large picnic tables, a cornhole game, and open space for guests.

Rental reservations include admission to Heights Family Aquatic Center for up to 30 guests, with access to stay and enjoy the pool for the full day.

Rental Guidelines

  • Admission is included for up to 30 guests.

  • Food and beverages are welcome.
  • Glass containers and alcohol are not allowed.
  • Decorations may be hung using painter’s tape only.
  • Setup and breakdown must be completed within the reserved rental time.

Recently Completed Renovation Work 

Heights Family Aquatic Center has undergone a major renovation in advance of the 2026 summer swim season. The improvements were included as action items in the City’s Aquatics Master Plan adopted January 2025. 

Renovations include: 

  • Pool deck - complete replacement and textured surface to keep deck cooler 
  • Slides - exterior painted, interior spot repairs, re-caulked, buffed and waxed 
  • Shade structures - new canvases and tot pool structure replaced 
  • Tot pool - slide replacement 
  • Climbing tower - complete replacement of beach entry play structure 
  • Pump house - replacement of outdated mechanical & electrical equipment and plumbing 
  • Skimmer & Pool Repairs - repaired cracks & structural damage to address water loss
