• Do non-swimmers need to pay admission?

  Yes, anyone entering the facility age 4 and up pays an entry fee.

• Are family season passes available to nonresidents?

  No, family season passes are exclusively offered to Richardson residents.

• What forms of payment are accepted at Heights Family Aquatic Center?

  Cash, check, credit card and Tap-to-Pay

• What amenities are available at Heights Family Aquatic Center?

  Zero-depth entry, baby pool, lazy river, four-foot-deep lap pool, two-story double slides, free parking, free lounge chairs and shade space, picnic tables, beverage vending and ice cream sales.

• Can we bring in food and beverages?

  Yes, we allow coolers and outside food and beverages. No glass or alcohol will be permitted.

• Any restricted items?

  No glass, alcohol, speakers/music, personal chairs, tables or umbrellas.

• Do you allow floats and rafts?

  We do not allow inflatables at our pools, including arm floats for children or rafts for babies. They may deflate or provide a false sense of security.

• Are there height requirements for the water slides?

  Yes, individuals must be a minimum of 48 inches tall.

• Do you offer life jackets or puddle jumpers?

  We do not have them for rent or use but will allow them to be used at any of our pools as long as they are USCG approved.

• Are pavilion reservations available?

  Yes, private shade space for 15-20 people: $35 for 2 hours, weekdays, $45 for 2 hours, weekends, open to public to make reservations in advance (does not include cost of admission)

• Can I rent the facility for a private event?

  Residents only, can book online at a Rec Center or by calling 972-744-7892. Before pools open or after they close to the public on weekends. All pool rules will be enforced and lifeguards provided.

• Are large groups, camps or day cares allowed?

  Yes, we are open to the public, we request that they call 972-744-7892 to coordinate best days and times to visit our pools. There are rules regarding supervision and safety we would like to discuss.

• What are the supervision requirements for children?

  Children under 7 are required to have an adult within arm's reach in the water and children 9 and under must be supervised by an adult on the property 

• What is the swimwear policy?

  For safety, hygiene, and to help protect our slides, guests must wear swimwear designed specifically for pool or swimming use. Everyday street clothing is not permitted in the water or on slides, including athletic shorts, leggings, tank tops, T-shirts, revealing clothing, or undergarments. Clothing with metal pieces, zippers, rivets, or similar hardware is also not allowed, as these items can damage the slides. Visual examples are posted to help guests identify acceptable swimwear. 

• What happens if there is rain forecasted?

  The City of Richardson uses the Weather Bug app that includes a Spark Lightning feature. This identifies where the nearest strike of lightning has occurred. If lightning is detected within a 10-mile radius of any aquatic facility, that facility will close for at least 30 minutes. It will remain closed for 30 minutes succeeding the last lightning strike. Guests are given a stamp or wristband to return the same day. We do not issue refunds for daily entrance fees.

• Are refunds issued for inclement weather for rentals?

  Yes, refunds are issued for rentals, if the pool is closed by staff. We do not close or issue refunds for cloudy weather or rain only.
